Awwww ... aren't they cute?

Last night was bath night - which will always make or break the evening (not to mention my back). While washing Ginny's hair, I thought back to a blog post by a cousin who had spiked her children's hair with shampoo, so I just tried it.The boys thought Ginny was too funny, but they wouldn't let me do it to them. When I took the first picture of Ginny, Josh was left out so I told him to give Ginny a hug so I could take another one. Not to be outdone, Ben gave Josh a hug and here we have it ... Bathtub Twister!
In other news, we passed our first real inspection today!!! It took three tries and each time the inspector let the guys go a bit farther, so we ended up getting our framing, rough mechanical, rough electrical, and insulation inspections done all at once! As of last night, we have sheet rock on the walls and are ready for the inspector to come and do the dry wall inspection today. If that goes well, they can texture, finish the outlets, and knock out the last door into the living room (that could have been done anytime, but David hasn't been keen to have the kids "help" him - don't know why!
I am trying to get into gear and finish painting my closet/bathroom/and hallway. Once I get that done I can put things away and maybe even find my bedroom again! By the way, below is my new tankless water heater ... I love it! We had two showers, the washer, and the dishwasher going - while I was rinsing paint brushes and no one ended up with a cold shower!

  1. Very Cool. The building part will be a relief when it's over. Good thing you did it when you had nothing else going on... (sarcasm. heavy sarcasm there.) After it's all over and Robert's moved in, you can take a big, deep breathe and then relax. But just a little, because you still gotta take care of your kids. And that's NEVER relaxing. Fun and enjoyable? Most of the time. Relaxing? NEVER.
Don't forget to take your tax credit for the tankless water heater (if they still offer it for this year. It's a good one!)
