Here he is ... Diego who used to be Joshua. I took this picture about 2 weeks ago when he discovered that his little camera could strap on like Diego's rescue pack. Diego, for those of you who don't have young children or possible television, is Dora the Explorer's cousin who rates his very own show called Go Diego Go. Joshua absolutely loves it and will sing with every single song. Now he will inform you that there is no Joshua, just Diego because the real Diego is sooo awesome (yes, that is exactly what he said). He will inform anyone who asks (and anyone who doesn't ask) that he is an animal rescuer, but if you ask what animal he is rescuing - he says no, I'm just an animal rescuer. A couple of days after this picture was taken, my friend Cori took Josh with her kids down to a stake Primary activity and he kept telling her that he was Diego. At church (so the leaders tell me) when he is called to participate in the activity, Josh will tell them that there is no Joshua, just Diego. At our family swim/birthday/BBQ last weekend, he kept reminding us that he was Diego. He is very adamant about it. I told him today that although Diego was very cool I really missed Joshua. He tole me that yes, Diego was very cool and also very awesome and there just is no Joshua.
He gets very annoyed at the other kids who forget that he is Diego and call him Josh. At the park today Caleb decided if Josh could be Diego then he would be Patrick. (Yes we watch Sponge Bob, horrible I know). Looks like he may be starting a trend!
